ABOUT MR BLOMFIELD
Mr Blomfield is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery. His NHS practice is at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals and he works in both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals.
His private practice is based out of Spire Murrayfield.
Mr Blomfield is a specialist orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon whose entire elective practice is dedicated to treating conditions of the foot and ankle.
He has trained extensively in the UK and abroad, working with internationally renowned experts in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery and sports injuries.
Mr Blomfield is fellowship trained in adult foot and ankle surgery with extensive experience in both primary and revision surgery with training in the treatment of complex adult foot and ankle conditions.
He has experience in a managing a wide range of foot and ankle problems, including providing second opinions and where necessary revision (re-do) surgery for previously failed operations.

Mr Blomfield is approved for referrals from most insurance companies and is fee assured.
DO I HAVE TO BE INSURED?
Mr Blomfield will see self pay patients please contact Spire Murrayfield for a fee estimate.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL LETTER?
A referral via the GP is not necessary for private patients. Please contact Spire Murrayfield or Mr Blomfield's secretary for further information.
WHEN CAN I GET AN APPOINTMENT?
Mr Blomfield has clinics on a Tuesday evening and Thursday morning at Spire Murrayfield.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?
That will depend on your insurance policy. Please check with your insurer directly. Some policies have an excess which you will be required to pay directly.
